Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Esthetician
Dr. Stephanie Spenny is a Naturopathic Doctor and a Licensed Esthetician. She received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington in 2014. Stephanie has also been an Esthetician since 2006 and enjoys combining her passion for natural health and holistic skin care. In 2020 she moved to the Big Island of Hawaii to begin practicing wellness retreat medicine.
Dr. Spenny's passion for skin care is what led her to Naturopathic Medicine. It is her belief that true radiant skin and optimal wellness come from a healthy gut and a healthy mind. She specializes in Naturopathic Skin Care as well as Food Allergies, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Detox, Optimal Mood and Energy, Woman's Health Issues and Adolescent Health. She is a member of the Hawaii Society of Naturopathic Physicians as well as the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
One of the most important parts of preventative health is engaging individuals as advocates for their own health and wellness, and ultimately realizing their true potential. Together, she will help you discover the root cause or your ailment and design a holistic treatment plan suited to your unique needs. Utilizing patient centered, whole body, individualized care with an emphasis on nutrition, body work, botanical medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy and nutritional supplementation she helps you find a balanced approach to healthy living.
Living on Big Island, Stephanie enjoys surrounding herself with beauty and nature, whether it be for swimming, snorkeling, camping, hiking or tending to her family's vanilla bean farm. At home she loves expressing her creativity by making herbal medicine and teas and and trying her hand at knitting and crocheting. Oh, and if you have any travel tips, Dr. Spenny is always looking for a new adventure!
I believe our bodies have their own innate ability to heal themselves and this healing will not just be accomplished by popping a few pills. In order to truly heal ourselves and get back to radiant wellness we must take a much deeper look into the body, mind and soul of the individual.
