Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on healing approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. The craniosacral system is comprised of the bones, membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Every day your body endures stresses and strains that it must work to compensate for. These changes often cause body tissues to tighten and distort the craniosacral system. This can create a barrier to the healthy performance of the central nervous system, and potentially every other system it interacts with.
Using a soft touch, about the weight of a nickel, we are able to release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the overall functioning of the central nervous system.
By working directly with the body's natural healing processes, CST is used as a preventive health measure for its ability to boost resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including:
- Anxiety and Depression
- Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia
- Autism
- Central Nervous System Disorders
- Chronic Fatigue
- Chronic Neck and Back Pain
- Concussions and Traumatic Brain Injuries
- Fibromyalgia and other Connective-Tissue Disorders
- Immune Disorders
- Learning Disabilities
- Migraine Headaches
- Motor-Coordination Impairments
- Neurovascular Disorders
- Orthopedic Problems
- Post-Surgical Dysfunction
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Spinal Cord Injuries
- Stress and Tension-Related Problems
- Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ)

Visceral Manipulation
Visceral Manipulation is based on the specific placement of gentle manual forces to encourage the normal mobility, tone and motion of the viscera and their connective tissues. These gentle manipulations can potentially improve the functioning of individual organs, the systems the organs function within, and the structural integrity of the entire body.
Due to the delicate and often highly reactive nature of the visceral tissues, gentle force precisely directed reaps the greatest results. As with other methods of manipulation that affect the body deeply, Visceral Manipulation works only to assist the forces already at work, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems, including:
- Digestive Disorders
- Bloating and Constipation
- GERD
- Nausea and Acid Reflux
- Swallowing Dysfunctions
- Emotional Issues
- Anxiety and Depression
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Injuries
- Concussion
- Post Surgical Pain
- Sports Injuries
- Traumatic Brain Injury
- Whiplash
- Musculoskeletal Disorders
- Chronic Spinal Dysfunction
- Headaches and Migraines
- Joint Pain
- Sciatica
- Somatic-Visceral Interactions
- Women's and Men's Health Issues
- Bladder Incontinence
- Chronic Pelvic Pain
- Dysmenorrhea
- Effects of Menopause
- Endometriosis
- Fibroids and Cysts
